The Idea Garden offers visitors the opportunity to see many new colors and
varieties of flowers and choose some they may want to plant in their own yards.

"Pomponette" Yellow Double Late Tulips, as large as peonies. The stems are half an
inch thick to support them. I heard people talking about "Double Latte" tulips and
looked all over for them. I eventually realized that they were more used to coffee
houses than botanic gardens and were reading "Double Late Yellow Tulips" on name
tags as "Double Latte Tulips."
