Palm Beach Modern 2019



The Palm Beach Modern and Contemporary Art Show was very fine.
It is smaller than Art Miami and Art Basel, and you can walk around and see
all the booths and have time to go back to your favorites within a four hour span.

Shepard Fairey is perhaps the most famous Street Artist in the U.S.

Elaine De Kooning.  "Horse."
She used horses in prehistoric paintings at the Cave at Pech Merle as a theme
for a number of studies.

T.M. Glass.  "White Hydrangeas in Vase."  Digital Photo.
Ms Glass takes individual pictures of the flowers, leaves, and vase,
and then she combines them digitally.  This actual "scene" never existed.
It is large, four feet square.  "It is "digitally painted."




Sabine Wiedenhofer.  "Blue Tulips."  Austrian.  6x12 ft.  It's huge.
It began as a photo, was enlarged, painted on, photographed again and enlarged, and
then painted some more.
